Our Approach

Blay Builders have been building homes in East Gippsland for 30 years. Gary and Kayleen Blay have grown the business from a husband and wife team, to an organisation of 11 staff and employ over 60 local contractors and businesses. The entire dedicated team works closely with our clients in making sure the projects are built on time and seamlessly. Because we are local, we are accountable to our community for the quality, workmanship and livability of our products. We pride ourselves on our extensive building knowledge and attention to detail; we want our customers to be happy with the product we have built!

Just some of the features that make Blay Builders stand out are FREE no obligation land advice and site assessments, we are the sloping block specialist's, our beautifully built custom designed homes and that we look after our local subcontractors and businesses (Blay Builders understand they also have bills to pay, so anyone contracted by Blay Builders are paid within two weeks of their services). Meet the Team

General Manager - Construction

After completing his apprenticeship with Gary, Zack moved to Melbourne to extend his career in the construction industry. Working on large commercial projects, Zack gained valuable experience in all facets of the construction industry. Zack's role at Blay Builders is General Manager - Construction, overseeing each project from inception to completion.

General Manager - Operations

Born and raised in East Gippsland, Xavier completed his apprenticeship with renowned local builder Peter Ammitzboll. From there Xavier attained his Builders Registration and started a small domestic construction business. Xavier's role in Blay Builders is the General Manager - Operations, which focuses on business management and client relations.

Office Administrator/Pre-Start Contact

Jenni's role is to apply for all building related permits; she also serves as the liaison for insurances. Her extensive knowledge from working with construction permits in the past and 31 years of legal experience in property makes her a valuable resource to Blay Builders and clients before, during and after the building process. Jenni has strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.

Project Manager

Len prides himself on excellent customer relations and has worked in the building industry for 35 years. His wealth of experience has been in both running his own team of trades and as a senior supervisor for a number of years. Len's meticulous work ethic ensures highly organised building projects and makes sure the projects are built on time. Blay Builders finds his experience invaluable.

Accounts Manager

Kate's role includes payroll, paying bills and client accounts. She also looks after the business's financial and taxation obligations. Kate is well liked throughout Blay Builders; she ensures everyone is paid on time and has a bubbly outgoing nature.

New Home Sales Consultant

Matt is responsible for sales and Blay Builders display home. His strong points are his friendly nature and excellence in helping clients find or design their perfect house plan.

Sally is returning to Blay Builders following a very successful period in the Real Estate industry. Sally’s focus is on first home builders with her extensive knowledge in both home and land requirements. Sally will take the time to find the perfect design and work within your budget.
