CLIENT LOVE

The Sales Staff were very patient and offered professional suggestions, always cognisant of our budget and the restrictions we had with the covenants of our estate. It took quite a length of time but they were thorough so that we didn’t have a plethora of variations at the end. They guided us through each stage of the design and planning and sent us to flooring and cabinetry professionals. They assisted with advice regarding cladding options and colours. They took into account the requirements of Build environmental star rating and BAL (bushfire attack level) to ensure we received permits the first time applied for.

Blays utilise an App titled “Buildertrend” which enabled us access from anywhere in the world: all documents including our build permits and quotes; updates including progress photos; progress reports; communication access via email to anyone at Blays; and payment reminders. We found this very useful! Early in the build they used a drone to video the property from above which was loaded onto this App. It was very exciting!

Site supervisor, Lionel, was a joy to work with! He was always available and happily tolerated our many questions; our oft arrival on-site; our bringing family and friends for an inspection; our many phone calls, and our ignorance as to why things were being done in a certain way. Lionel attended to any concerns we had promptly and helped us with any little adjustments we came across.

All the contractors were excellent - from the initial carpenters, plasterers, plumber, electrician, painters, tiler, to Rod who completed all the final fit outs. They were all friendly and polite.

Len was particularly thorough during our final inspection, a week prior to handover. Nothing was too much trouble and he reassured us that even the smallest concern would be fixed, which it was! He made sure that we were happy with all aspects of the build prior to handover. Len has also been very approachable during the Warranty phase. He has promptly dealt with any issues we’ve encountered, always with a smile.

Blay Builders exceeded our expectations and we thank them for our wonderful finished home and their patience with our many questions. We love to invite people into our home to show them how happy we are with it. We would have no hesitation recommending Blays to anyone considering building with them.

We appointed Blay Builders to build our dream home in East Gippsland. And we are sooooo glad we did!

We were living in Melbourne for the entire build so we really needed a builder that we could trust.

The build quality is outstanding – we couldn’t have asked for better. Visitors to the house always ask ‘who did you get to build your house?’ as they are really impressed with the quality of the build.

Blay uses an online app to track the build and communicate progress through photos and aerial videos (which was great considering we only were able to visit the site a few times during the entire build process!). There were a few inevitable hiccups during the build, but Blays went over and above to rectify any issues.

They are just a lovely bunch of people working hard to bring our dream to life. We would use them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to anyone looking to build in East Gippsland.

We had an enjoyable experience building with Blay builders. They are a unique building company- that pride themselves on custom design homes which is what we were after, an acreage style home however with some flare to it so it wasn't just a stock standard home. The staff were brilliant from the design phase, building process to handover. They went above and beyond, and managed to get us into our home earlier than we expected. Our home is beautiful and we are more than impressed with the final outcome and the quality of the build.
